What to Expect

Four things we promise

The same small team every time. You deal with the same people from the quote to the last screw. You are not handed to whoever was free that morning.

Lifetime warranty. Lifetime warranty on labor and workmanship, plus up to 15 years on materials. No expiry and no registration.

The price you agree is the price you pay. The quote comes before the work starts and it does not change if the job runs long.

We come back. If something is not right after we leave, we put it right at no charge and there is no trip fee for it.

Before the visit

  • You get a two-hour arrival window with an ETA inside it.

  • You get a call or a text when we are on the way.

  • If we are running late you hear it from us before you have to ask.

  • Normal rates apply Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekday evenings and early mornings, weekends and holidays, the diagnostic visit is $189, charged the same way, and the repair is priced in writing and agreed with you on the phone before we book. If it can safely wait until the morning, it is $89. You will never hear it for the first time at your door.

When we arrive

  • We introduce ourselves and confirm what you booked before anything comes off the van.

  • We look at the whole job before quoting the whole job. If what you asked for is not what you need, we say so at that point, not halfway through.

  • You get the price before the work starts. The price you approve is the price you pay, and it does not change if the job takes longer than we expected.

While we work

  • Shoe covers indoors and drop cloths under the work.

  • Power goes off only for as long as it needs to, and we tell you before it does.

  • We explain what is behind the wall in plain language. You are allowed to watch and you are allowed to ask.

Before we leave

  • The work area is cleaned up. Old parts and packaging leave with us unless you want them.

  • We test what we installed with you standing there.

  • You get the paperwork, the warranty and, on bigger jobs, photographs of what is now behind the wall.

Permits and inspections

Where the work needs a permit, we pull it. In Zebulon, Wendell, Knightdale and Rolesville that goes through Wake County Permits and Inspections; elsewhere it goes to the town or county that covers you. We book the inspection and we are there to meet the inspector. You do not have to take a day off for it.

Afterwards

What we need from you

  • Somebody over 18 at the property.

  • Clear access to the panel and the work area.

  • Pets somewhere safe, because the tools are loud.
